good picture that, catching those pigs red handed, how dare thay change those signs, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them and they have no right to do that. That is why i have decided to go round and get a picture of every platform sign in the old style as possible, i recomend you do the same too as i love trains also and have a large pile of pics aswell.

Hi Marcus I am a moderator of the Puffing Billy project of this forum LittlevilleDepot. The members of this forum use a program called Rule The Rails to model railway layouts on computer (It’s much cheaper!) The project of the Puffing Billy that I spearhead as they call it needs drawings, photos, blueprints etc. Your photos are of high quality and we would like to use them for reference for creating models of the complete Puffing Billy Line. I do have permission from John Hoy at Puffing Billy for this project. The information that is posted or linked to on this forum is only available to registered members. The full name of the forum is http://littlevilledepot.phpbb3now.com/index.php PS: Do you have any detailed photographs of the Puffing Billy Belgrave Station I live in Bundaberg, QLD. and it's a bit to far away for a day trip. LOL Regards, Alex

Hi Marcus, drivers must be doing 100kph or less when they get to a "t" board or the following signal will automatically change to a reduce to medium. If the track ahead is clear, and the driver is doing the right speed at the t board (100kph or less) the following signal will stay green. They don't won't anyone flying up to the new sticks at 130kph yet. I was travelling with a driver who missed the t board because the board was missing off the pole & even though the track ahead was clear, we still had to crawl up to the next stick. Hope this helps, cheers, Pete

"NS" sign trackside - denotes a return to normal speed for short trains after a speed restriction

Wongm: NS ASign displayed beside the line means "Normal Speed" this the C Sign meaning Caution which then has the Speed restriction placed uder it eg: 30 (KPH) has been lifted when NS is seen and the train may return to the max permitted speed in that section. Hope that helps

Hi Marcus, This is a great set of photos, I assume that the transition coupler for the sprinters is a rare sight. With respect to the 'Spencer Street' sign, the Vic gov can call it what they like, but to most of us the station on Spencer St will always be Spencer Street Station (SSS). Regards, Neil

Looks to be a window out of a Sprinter. Given its roughly the same size as the VLocity window (based on shadow viewable to the left), it would be way too small to be out of a Comeng or Siemens, and X'Trap windows are square. Any reason as to why they were put there?
